My name is Melody McClain and I'm the artist behind Kate-n-Kenna's Reborn Nursery.  I am the mother of 3 wonderful children, ages 17, 15, and 11.  I have always been an avid baby lover.  I remember when I was a pre-teen I still played with dolls! Of course it was secretly so none of my friends would laugh at me!

I carried that passion on when I 'grew up' and became a Newborn Nursery Nurse.  I 'caught' babies as soon as they were handed over by the doctor at birth.  There is nothing in the world like being able to assist baby in adjusting to life outside the wonderful cozy womb. I feel my passion for newborns and infants has carried on into my reborning.  

I have recently been asked to do a prototype by Bloomer 'n Bows.This is the utmost honor for a reborn artist. The prototype is of the head sculpted by Misty Hyndman, her first baby to be made into vinyl). My dolls have been recognized by Margaret at JoMac's Dolls, Gifts and Uniques as a true form of art.  Margaret has been creating dolls for over 35 years and teaches classes every Saturday.  She was so impressed by my work she invited me to begin teaching reborn classes.
